Description

This is my entry for the :iconcreatebyweek: Weekly Challenge.
This was a fun piece to do and a milestone for me. As many of you know, my husband and I were in a motorcycle accident in September. In that accident I broke my wrist and had to have surgery to install a plate that now holds the bone together. I basically had to relearn how to use my hand in physical therapy. In the recuperation time I was pretty much unable to use the computer or my tablet due to the pain. I feel I am recovered well now and this piece is the first thing I have created since then.

The lighting is odd on purpose in case anyone wonders. There are a ton of stock images in this one and I hope that you all enjoy it. This is dedicated to all the great deviants who have been there to support me through this time and who have been an inspiration to me to focus my healing and to get back to what I love. Thank you! :glomp:

Nice fantasy world you have created from the combination of a variety of photographs. You cut out the images well, especially the girl that is in the foreground. The use of repetition throughout this image by using a girl with the same mask further back in the image and the same types of orange lights, helps to make your eye move from one part of the image to the other more easily. The use of lighting and directional shadows based on the lighting helps to give this image a more realistic feeling. The only thing that seems to distract from this is the brightness of the water/pond like thing in the back, it appears too bright and seems to distract from the other parts of the image, but I like how you made a reflection of the light in it.
