Concrete Angel

This statue reminds me of a song by Martina McBride called Concrete Angel. It is a truly sad song, but one that holds a very special meaning to my heart. I hope that anyone who ever knows of an abused child will tell the proper authorities. Do not assume that someone else will notice or worry that it is not your place. That child has no hope without intervention so it is always your place. Hopefully more people will speak up and reach out and there will be fewer concrete angels in this world.
