My life is a jumble of chaos and interruptions. We are still trying to find a house in Michigan. We have one we are hoping to offer on and if all goes well it will become our new home. With all of that going on I am still here in South Carolina and my lovely husband is in Michigan. Last week (the 18th) was our 16th wedding anniversary and sadly we were not able to be together. He sent me lovely roses though that are still blooming beautifully on my dresser.
I am preparing our house for the movers. We have been here 5 years and there is a lot of stuff here to get rid of. I have been selling stuff garage sale style and handing it out to people who I know will use it. You don't realize how much stuff you have until it is time to move it all
I am hoping to find a new home for many of my rubber stamps and extra scrapbook papers. If any of you out there are into either of these hobbies let me know and I will be happy to fling things to you for the cost of shipping
Currently Harleigh is addicted to watching Pocahontas .. over and over... there are worse things I suppose, but I was just getting to where I could recite Nightmare before Christmas
I am having a bit of artistic block at the moment. I am not sure what the trouble is. I don't know if it is that my vision is exceeding my abilities at the moment or what, but nothing I am working on is making me happy. I have about 6 things in various stages of unfinish and I just don't know how to call any of them complete. I love my Paintshop Pro, but I am finding myself wanting for more. To have more though I must have a new computer. To do that I must have money. I am not sure how I am going to get money at this point, but I am brainstorming. I am not well enough known to hire out to commissions and I don't trust my skill enough for that anyway. I may resort to what I know I do well... sewing. I think once we move I may post my costume patterns here and see if any of the stock people I know are interested in having some costumes made. I am currently working on a couple pieces for my dear friend
I am rambling now and you are probably bored to tears, so I will say farewell for now.
The best to you all until next time we meet
Annette

I am going to feature one deviant a week from my list of watchers as a thank you for their support. I threw everyone's name in a hat and this week's feature goes to:
Now a little fact about this gal... she is my daughter. Yes I did draw her name this week so fair is fair and this is her feature. She won't even know about it until she reads this so it will be fun.
Amber is 12 and a pretty artistic young lady. She can draw, write, take photos and dance like you would not believe. She is an aspiring ballerina and lyrical dancer and photographer. One day I know that she will do something pretty amazing with herself, but for now I am enjoying the fact that I get to watch her take the journey to self discovery. She has a weird sense of humor and is so sarcastic that it is scary (both traits she gets honestly from yours truly).
She has a very good eye and so much patience sometimes that I am jealous. She would be the person who laid perfectly still for two hours waiting for the perfect shot of some rare creature. I think that in the realm of photography she is light years ahead of me. She has been working with a camera since she was 5 and now she loves to steal my new Nikon and put her mom to shame. You will see many similar subjects in our galleries since we have the same space to shoot in, but her point of view is always so interesting to me.
So, before I embarrass her further or end up in the gushing mom corner... please go and show her some love and take a peek in her gallery of fun. Please note also that in her earlier pictures most are taken with a plain and simple Kodak Easy Share C340 camera.
Here she is.. the only way she will usually pose for the camera:

I want her hair *sigh*

The only way creativity is wasted is if it is not used. There are no rights or wrongs. There are no imperfections, no limits, no rules. One must simply use the talents one has to the utmost to be a success.
