I have updated the WIP I was working on and would really love your thoughts on the updated version. I like it much better than my original idea for this.


It is going to be an entry into the Kick Your Own @ss contest here and I would really like to have it look the best it can. Let me know what you think. As always, it is all of you and your support that have helped me get to where I am. The piece will be dedicated to my wonderful dA family.

Can I just say that in looking at those two pieces side by side I can't believe that the new version is mine. All of you who took the time to give me input really made the difference. I often know that something is not quite right, but I can't quite put a finger on it. In the end, my newness with this art tends to leave me at a loss. One more reason to love this place. I can get help and critique and continue to grow.

I was thinking that I wanted to save up for a version of Photoshop, but I think I have decided that I like my PaintShop Pro and will be sticking with it. I will most likely buy the update, but I would rather spend my money on a new computer than on a program that I really don't need. I think what I need is experience and continued work on my art. I kept lamenting what I thought were drawbacks and short comings in my program, but as I learn more I am finding that everything I need is there, I just have to know my tools and to think outside of the box. I keep hoping one day to meet up with a wiz on this program who will tutor me

My heart is full of very happy thoughts and I have some interesting ideas for some new art. Something in me was sparked by this WIP. I think that seeing the two pieces together did something to my ego. Hard to explain, but I was stuck in a rut of thinking I was not getting better and then I saw this and realized I was. So, I am done feeling less and am off to feel more.
